The present invention relates to a silica-coated zinc oxide nanoparticle preparation method, silica-coated zinc oxide polymer resin matrix preparation method using the same, and uses thereof. More specifically, the method is used to adjust the thickness of the silica coating. The present invention can prevent the photocorrosion of the nanoparticles by coating the surface of the zinc oxide nanoparticles with the silica by an appropriate thickness, thereby having the excellent photocatalytic activity inhibitory effects. The silica-coated zinc oxide nanoparticles have excellent UV absorption and visible light transmission functions. According to the present invention, the silica-coated nanoparticles and melted and mixed with the polymer resin to significantly increase the dispersion of the nanoparticles. The present invention can block the pores on the surface of the nanoparticles coated with the silica to prevent the decomposition of the nanoparticles caused by the acid.
