The present invention relates to a method to construct a cargo hold in a liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo ship on the ground, and an LNG cargo ship constructed by the same method. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method to construct the cargo hold in the LNG cargo ship comprises: a step of manufacturing a first structure and a second structure with the shape wherein a plurality of cargo holds are connected on the ground; a step of conducting construction of the cargo hold on the first structure and the second structure on the ground respectively; a step of mounting the first structure and the second structure on a dock respectively; and a step of connecting the first structure and the second structure on the dock.
