The present invention relates to a method for producing an animal model with spinal cord injuries, and to an animal model with spinal cord injuries produced by the same. The method of the present invention comprises the following steps: wearing down exposed spinous processes of an animal for the animal model with spinal cord injuries using a micro surgical drill until the micro surgical drill reaches a vertebral arch; drilling a hole with a depth of 1-2.5 mm in the vertebral arch by using the micro surgical drill; and inducing spinal cord injuries to the animal by inserting an injection needle into the hole generated in the previous step. In addition, the present invention relates to a method for screening candidate substances for treating spinal cord injuries by using an animal with spinal cord injuries, and a method for verifying the effects of a medicine for spinal cord injuries. The method for producing the animal model with spinal cord injuries is capable of: simulating spinal cord injuries of a human more similarly compared to damaging a spinal cord by using conventional expensive equipment; increasing a survival rate of the animal model; and continuously monitoring the animal model. Specifically, the present invention is rarely influenced by skills and know-how of an operator, and is thus expected to be widely used in fields of developing the medicine for treating spinal cord injuries and of verifying the effects of the medicine.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
