The present invention relates to a hair cosmetic composition containing an extract of banana leaf and flower as an active ingredient, which contains 0.1-30.0 wt% of banana leaf and flower or a mixed extract of both with respect to the total weight of the cosmetic composition for improving condition of hair and scalp. The composition containing the extract of banana leaf and flower has excellent effects of relieving irritation after a use of a hair colorant, enhancing hair strength and hair glossiness, promoting hair growth, protecting hair from ultraviolet rays, and preventing hair loss, thereby being useful for an enhancer for condition of hair and scalp.
