The present invention is to provide an apparatus and a method which can generate a 3D stereoscopic image with low costs in a short time by using a real-time rendering engine, and store a result thereof in a format capable of being used for movie production. According to the present invention, the apparatus comprises: a real-time rendering engine for individually performing the rendering with respect to views of left and right eyes by frame unit of inputted shape data; a stereoscopic sense interface unit for providing an interface capable of controlling a stereoscopic sense including an interval (binocular disparity) between left and right cameras, the distance from views of both eyes to a point that the views of the both eyes are focused, and angles between directions of a camera while performing the rendering in the real-time rendering engine; a format conversion unit for converting each of left and right cameras from a rendered result in the real-time rendering engine into an HDR format file greater than or equal to 16 bits; and a graphic memory for temporarily storing the rendered result converted into the HDR format file greater than or equal to 16 bits in the format conversion unit, in a cache format.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
