The present invention relates to novel lactobacillus plantarum HY7714 having skin wrinkle improvement and skin moisturizing effect and to a product containing the same as an active ingredient. Lactobacillus plantarum HY7714 of the present invention can be used as medicine, food and cosmetics with a purpose of wrinkle improvement and moisturizing effect as improvement of skin wrinkle induced by natural aging or photodamage and moisturizing effect are shown, due to an increase of production amount of procollagen inside a cell, recovery of expressing procollagen restrained by ultraviolet rays, restraint of expressing MMP-1 induced by ultraviolet rays, improvement of skin wrinkle in a photodamaged animal model using hairless mice, recovery of thickness of epidermis, restraint of expressing MMP-13, and excellent moisturizing effect.
