The present invention relates to a carbon fiber including a zinc oxide nano-rod, which comprises a first fiber sheet including a first fiber sheet body and a first nano-rod positioned on the surface of the first fiber sheet body; a second fiber sheet including a second fiber sheet body and a second nano-rod positioned on the surface on the second fiber sheet body; and a resin layer immersed between the first fiber sheet and the second fiber sheet. When manufacturing a carbon fiber reinforced composite, the zinc oxide nano-rod grown on the surface increases the contact area and the adhesive force with the resin, inhibits the crack transmittance, thereby enhancing the mechanical interfacial strength of the carbon fiber composite.
