A method for recovering metadata on a non-volatile memory based on recovery information of each page, where data of connected blocks is written, and an apparatus therefor are provided. The present invention enables blocks of the non-volatile memory to be connected using an allocation chain based on an order wherein the data is assigned to each block of the non-volatile memory. The blocks are connected using the allocation chain in order to guarantee integrity of a storage device when the metadata on the non-volatile memory is recovered.
