METHOD FOR DETECTING ANABOLIC STEROID USING SILVER ION COORDINATION ION SPRAY AND QUADRUPOLE TANDEM MASS SPECTROMETRY

The present invention relates to a method for detecting anabolic steroid using silver ion coordination ion spray and a quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry. The method for detecting anabolic steroid comprises the steps of: (a) hydrolyzing anabolic steroid in a sample, metabolome of the anabolic steroid, and substances having a similar pharmacological action using an enzyme; (b) basifying the hydrolyzed sample and extracting the same with an organic solvent; (c) separating the extracted material by liquid chromatography; (d) ionizing the separated material at the same time using silver ion coordination ion spray; and (e) detecting the ionized material using a quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry. A simultaneous determination method in accordance with the present invention is capable of simultaneously extracting various types of anabolic steroids in the sample, metabolome of the anabolic steroids, and substances having a similar pharmacological action and simultaneously ionizing the same to detect, thereby having superiority in economic aspects and temporal aspects. The simultaneous determination method can be applied as a primary screening method in the field of a doping test, and the range of application of the method can be widened to simultaneously analyze drugs or other small molecules and substances, which are not ionized by a conventional electrospray ionization method, in various fields such as medicine, food, environment, etc.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
