The present invention relates to a method for assigning a relative order to a message by using a vector clock under an environment of a distributed server. According to an aspect of the present invention, the method comprises the following steps: (a) having a server assign a currently maintained vector clock to a message and then store the message assigned with the clock when the message which requires an assignment of a relative order is obtained via a network; and (b) having the server transmit an increased vector clock to at least one different server connected thereto via a network to support the different server to update the currently maintained vector clock thereof with reference to the increased vector clock.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
