FIELD: metallurgy.;SUBSTANCE: preliminary mechanical alloying of the initial powder mixture out of titanium powders and elements able to create with it hard substitutional solutions, in inert medium in grinding mill with energy dose from 5 to 15 kJ/g, sufficient to create granules from the said hard substitutional solution. To the obtained mixture the aluminium powder is added, and it is subjected the mechanical alloying in inert medium with energy dose from 20 to 30 kJ/g to crate granules with amorphous phase comprising uniformly distributed atoms of titanium, aluminium and alloying elements. Then spark plasma sintering of the mixture with simultaneous pressing is performed. The obtained blanks are heat treated. If necessary several obtained blanks are connected along end surfaces by welding.;EFFECT: reduced porosity and chemical uniformity of the electrode, obtaining the specified phase composition of the electrode material.;3 cl, 5 ex
