FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: terbium (III) cation floatation extraction process employs as the organic phase an isooctyl alcohol and as the surfactant-type collector - sodium dodecyl sulphate, in a concentration which corresponds to the stoichiometric reaction: Tb⁺³+3NaDS=Tb(DS)₃+3Na⁺, where Tb⁺³ is a terbium (III) cation, DS^- is a dodecyl sulphate ion. Floatation extraction is carried out at pH=7.5-8.0 and ratio of the organic phase to the aqueous phase of 1/20-1/40.;EFFECT: high degree of extraction.;2 dwg
