The present invention relates to the object, the pressure in the immediate vicinity of a human body with respect to fluctuations of the ambient pressure, to stabilize outside of the body, wherein, depending on the design variations of the ambient pressure in an order of magnitude of 100 – 200 hpa to be completely compensated for.The present invention is adapted to the marginal conditions of usage profiles, in which the maximum achieved height of not more than 3000 m and the difference between the minimum and maximum operating height is not greater than 2000 m is. It serves, in particular, the reduction of the physical stress for the crew of deploying fire-fighting aircraft during the repeated change between descent to a body of water to the absorption of water and ascent to a source of fire, by means of which the water is released.Its purpose of the invention is achieved by the combination of a slightly air-permeable or not air-permeable suit, which is provided with controllable air outlet openings, and a controllable device for the supply of compressed air, wherein the pressure suit at a constant flow through the entire, or at least a substantial proportion of the inner volume is designed. The design of the pressure suit and of the entire system consisting of a suit, pressure air generator and regulators, is (in contrast to pressure suits for large heights) adapted to the purpose, in the case of inserts with frequent heights changes in the relevant range of up to 2000 m, the load to be reduced and, as far as possible to offer optimum comfort.
