The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of a sheet metal composite component (100), the at least one large-area cutout (110), which comprises the following steps, which is designed in a press line:– Generating a plurality of sheet metal parts (60, 70, 80, 90) sheet metal material supplied by shaping;– Bringing together of the generated sheet metal parts (60, 70, 80, 90), wherein these are positioned relative to one another in such a way that at least one large-area cutout (110) by at least two of the at least partially cut surface framing sheet metal parts (60, 70, 80, 90) is formed; and– Joining of the positioned relative to each other sheet metal parts (60, 70, 80, 90) to form a metal sheet composite component (100).According to the invention, these steps can also be carried out in different sequences.
