Method for conditioning the CdTe layer of CdTe thin-film solar cells

The present invention describes a method for activating the CdTe layer of thin-film solar cell semifinished products, in which the CdCl2 used in the prior art is replaced by a safer and easier-to-handle substance, the process parameters for activation being largely retained. This is achieved by the application of calcium tetrachlorozincate to the CdTe layer and the subsequent thermal treatment of the thin-film solar cell semifinished product.
