A drive train and a method for reducing gear meshing noise in an electrically drivable drive train (10) with a gear transmission (2) and an electric motor (1) are proposed. The method comprises the following steps: - determining an operating state of the drive train (10), - reading out a data record assigned to the determined operating state from a data memory (3), and - adjusting a torque of the electric motor (1) according to the data record.
