LINEARIZATION METHOD BY DIGITAL PREDISTORSION

There is provided a power amplifier (PA) linearization method comprising steps of generating (101) a predistorted digital input signal (x) by applying a predistortion function to an input digital signal (u) at amplifying, the predistortion function being defined by a series of predistortion coefficients, converting (102) the predistorted digital input signal (x) to a predistorted analog signal, amplifying (104) the predistorted analog signal to obtain an amplified analog signal (z), decomposing (106) the amplified analog signal into a plurality of subband analog signals (zch, ZIM3, ZIM5), digitizing (107) each subband analog signal to obtain a subband digital signal respective, computing (108) values of the predistortion coefficients which minimize an error dependent on the predistorted input digital signal and the subband digital signals, and adjust er (109) the predistortion coefficients to the calculated values.
