Spring clip, latching mechanism incorporating the spring clip and method of manufacture of spring clip

An elongate spring clip extends along a longitudinal axis and has a generally V-shaped profile in a plane normal to the longitudinal axis. The spring clip has leg portions extending from an apex region to the ends of the profile, with the leg portions extending from the apex region at an oblique angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the spring clip. The apex region may be rounded, and the ends of the spring may be joined to create a loop. The clip can be used two latch two connectors (13, 15, Fig 6) together, such as two electrical connectors.
