The present invention relates to a fibrous structure (100), a woven in a single piece for the manufacture of an axisymmetric part of composite material having a diameter varying, the fibrous structure having a part of frustoconical shape (104) with a large diameter (d1) and a small diameter (d), the ratio between the large diameter and a small diameter being equal to at least 2. The fibrous structure is formed by winding the layers of warp and weft threads which are woven on a mandrel having a profile which is defined as a function of the profile of the part to be manufactured with the call in the warp threads. For each layer of wires, the weft yarns (t) are distributed angularly in a same diameter in a zone of the large diameter of the part of frustoconical shape and with at least two different diameters in a zone of the small diameter of the part of frustoconical shape so as to form at least two superposed plies of weft threads. The present invention also relates to a method for weaving such a fibrous structure.
