The method of conditioning a strip in a pastillation unit, comprises passing a flowable product to be pastillated with a perforated outer tube, which is rotatably arranged above a cooling strip and rotates itself around a stationary inner body, onto an upper side of the cooling strip arranged below the outer tube in a droplet manner. After the soldification of the product drops, the resulting pastilles are lifted again from the cooling strip, where a separating agent is applied onto the cooling strip before passing the product droplets. The separating agent is sprayed on the upper side. The method for conditioning a strip in a pastillation unit, comprises passing a flowable product to be pastillated with a perforated outer tube, which is rotatably arranged above a cooling strip and rotates itself around a stationary inner body, onto an upper side of the cooling strip arranged below the outer tube in a droplet manner. The separating agent is sprayed on the upper side of the cooling strip using a spraying nozzle. The separating agent is sprayed by binary fuel nozzles. The cooling belt is diverted by an idler pulley arranged below the perforated outer tube. The separating agent is provided in upstream area in which the separating agent is filled to pastillate the drop-shaped product on the cooling belt, and is sprayed in an area of the circumferential of the idler pulley on the cooling belt. The cooling belt is cleaned, washed and removed, where the separating agent is sprayed by the spray nozzle on an outer circumference of the perforated external drum. The product stored on the cooling belt are sprayed with water drop by drop. The quantity of water, size of the water drop and temperature are adjusted to obtain a cooled surface on the cooling belt. An independent claim is included for a device for producing pastilles.
