PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eccentric oscillation type speed reducer capable of positively preventing a crank shaft gear from coming into contact with a carrier.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an eccentric oscillation type speed reducer 10 comprising a crank shaft 16 having outer teeth splines 60 at an end part 16A, a first carrier 36 supporting the crank shaft and a crank shaft gear 18 having inner teeth splines 62. The end part of the crank shaft formed with outer teeth splines is protruded from the first carrier in an axial direction, the outer teeth splines have a slant surface part 60A at the end part thereof on the first carrier side, the crank shaft gear 18 is abutted against the slant surface part of the outer teeth splines to restrict motion toward the first carrier side in an axial direction, and a terminal end 60E of the slant surface part of the outer teeth splines and an end surface 36A of the first carrier in an axial direction are spaced apart in an axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
