PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation amount estimate device for area unit photovoltaic power generation and a method, for estimating a photovoltaic power generation output in a high frequency, without stopping a photovoltaic power generation device of a requirement side.SOLUTION: A power generation amount estimate device for area unit photovoltaic power generation, comprises: a short period area unit photovoltaic power generation output estimation function 8 for obtaining an active power and a reactive power in an information input point in a short period, calculating a generation amount of the active power and reactive power due to the photovoltaic power generation under an electric lower stream side region of the information input point of a transmission and distribution system from a quantity of solar radiation in a distribution area in a long period, calculating the active power and reactive power at the time of stopping the photovoltaic power generation from a power generation amount of a plurality of active powers and reactive powers due to the photovoltaic power generation obtained by a long period area unit photovoltaic power generation output estimation function 4 and the active power and reactive power obtained by a short period PQ measurement information obtaining function 2, guiding a load characteristic indicating a relation of the active power and reactive power by a photovoltaic power generation stopping PQ calculation function 6, and estimating the generating amount of photovoltaic power generation from the active power and reactive power obtained by the short period PQ measurement information obtaining function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
