PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable properly forming facilities and switching systems (management of power distribution line load) by estimating the maximum power generation amount of a photovoltaic power generation system from the necessary minimum data which is easily available.;SOLUTION: The configuration is a maximum power generation amount estimating method of a photovoltaic power generation system 130 connected to a power distribution system 100, and includes: obtaining the capacity of facilities of the photovoltaic power generation system 130, calculating the maximum insolation in a predetermined period as a measurement target, and estimating the maximum power generation amount of the photovoltaic power generation system 130 which can be added to a system current of the power distribution system 100 based on the insolation, the capacity of facilities and a predetermined coefficient.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
