PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus, a photon-counting detection apparatus, and a double-layer photon-counting detector capable of efficiently detecting X rays.;SOLUTION: An X-ray CT apparatus according to an embodiment comprises an X-ray source for emitting X rays, and a plurality of photon-counting detectors (PCDs) for detecting X rays emitted from the X-ray source.
