PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of stirring the whole of molten steel contained in a container.;SOLUTION: An immersion lance 1 is immersed into molten steel (molten metal) 3 contained in a ladle (container) 2. The molten steel 3 is stirred by blowing an inert gas 5 from the immersion lance 1. The inert gas 5 is blown as the immersion lance 1 immersed into the molten steel 3 is moved to a horizontal direction.
