PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To verify the connection state between a testing object and a test device without increasing the number of contact points between the testing object and the test device.SOLUTION: A test voltage application unit 10 of a withstand voltage test device 1 applies a defined test voltage to both-end electrodes of a testing object 5 to undergo a withstand voltage test via two lead wires. When the test voltage is applied to the testing object 5 for a defined time, a withstand voltage determination unit 20 determines whether the value of the current flowing via the two lead wires exceeds a reference value. A first switch unit 31 of a connection state verification unit 30 switches the withstand voltage test device 1 side of the two lead wires between connection to the test voltage application unit 10 and connection to a verification voltage application unit 32. After a verification voltage is started to be applied to the testing object 5, a connection state determination unit 33 of the connection state verification unit 30 monitors the rising of the voltage of the two lead wires and determines whether the connection state between the testing object 5 and the withstand voltage test device 1 is normal or abnormal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
