PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for decorating a timepiece component, especially a dial, that allows a novel aesthetic that is attractive, precise, and durable over time to be obtained simply with high versatility.SOLUTION: A process for decorating a timepiece component comprises a step E10 of deep engraving of a surface to be decorated of the timepiece component with a femtosecond laser; and a step E20 of surface structuring of the surface to be decorated of the timepiece component.
