PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencing device capable of reducing cost increasing in addition to reducing noise.SOLUTION: A silencing device 10B is provided with: timing control means 101 that switches a state of a speaker 20 operable as either of a sound collector that transforms a sound into an electric signal and a sound generator that transforms an electric signal into a sound between a sound collection state in which the speaker 20 operates as the sound collector and a sound generation state in which the speaker 20 operates as the sound generator; recording means 102 that receives the electric signal transmitted from the speaker 20 in the sound collection state and stores data indicating the electric signal in signal storage means 103; phase reversal means 104 that generates a reverse signal having a phase opposite to that of the electric signal on the basis of the electric signal indicated by the data stored in the signal storage means 103; and output means 106 that transmits the reverse signal to the speaker 20 in the sound generation state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
