PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To silence, at an arbitrary target position, a sound wave from a sound source by using a plurality of silencers arranged around the sound source.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, an active silencing system includes at least one sensor, at least one microphone, and a plurality of speaker units. The sensor detects information on a target position. The microphone receives a first sound wave output from a sound source and generates a first sound signal. At least one speaker unit, which is selected on the basis of the target position from among the plurality of speaker units, outputs a second sound wave blocking the first sound wave at the target position, on the basis of the first sound signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
