PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for easily fabricating a temperature-responsive cell culture substrate having a pattern without using a special tool such as a photomask.SOLUTION: The present invention is a manufacturing method of a temperature-responsive cell culture substrate having a pattern, which includes: a process of forming coating film of first coating liquid containing temperature-responsive polymer, crosslinking agent and solvent by arranging the first coating liquid on a substrate; a process of arranging second coating liquid containing crosslinking agent, solvent and, if necessary, temperature-responsive polymer in a pattern state on the coating film of the first coating liquid; and a process of immobilizing temperature-responsive polymer on the substrate by irradiating the coating liquid arranged on the substrate with radioactive ray. A region in which the first coating liquid is arranged and the second coating liquid is not arranged forms a temperature-responsive region which is changeable from cell adhesive to cell non-adhesive by temperature changes, a region in which the first coating liquid and the second coating liquid are arranged forms a cell non-adhesive region, and an immobilized amount of temperature-responsive polymer in the cell non-adhesive region is higher than an immobilized amount of temperature-responsive polymer in the temperature-responsive region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
