PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement method in which information required for authentication of a card used for settlement processing is sent/received between the card and a settlement destination device and deterioration of security with respect to the authentication information is prevented even in an off-line state so that settlement using the card is smoothly performed.;SOLUTION: A transaction processing device transmits acquisition request for a screen prompting input of settlement information including inputted settlement information and corresponding to a next input process per plurality of input processes of different settlement information to a transaction communications terminal. The transaction communications terminal receives a screen corresponding to the acquisition request from the settlement destination device and transmits it to the transaction processing device. The transaction processing device prompts input of the settlement information for the screen. The transaction processing device transmits the settlement processing request including the settlement information inputted by the last input process to the transaction communications terminal. The transaction communications terminal transmits the settlement processing request to the settlement destination device, and transmits the settlement completion report transmitted from the settlement destination device to the transaction processing device.
