This specification establishes the 'as built' design of the Message Processing Unit component of the Network Transaction Manager Subsystem. The Network Transaction Manager (NTM) Subsystem provides the control and support services to application processes that are grouped together logically in clusters called Application Process Cluster (APCs). These application processes communicate with one another by sending messages via the NTM. The NTM delivers these messages to the destination application processes while also providing other services for the APs such as message pairing, AP initiation, and message queuing.
