PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind power generation apparatus in which a load applied to a rotor lock mechanism is reduced.SOLUTION: The wind power generation apparatus comprises: a rotor 1 comprised of a hub 3 and blades 10; a nacelle 4 which journals the rotor via a rotary shaft connected to the hub and stores a power generator connected to the rotary shaft into the inside of the nacelle; a tower 5 supporting the nacelle; a pitch actuator changing and adjusting pitch angles of the blades; and a pitch control device outputting a command value to the pitch actuator. A stop command detected by the pitch control device is output to the pitch actuator. The pitch actuator, after confirming that the various members of the wind power generation apparatus transition to a manual state, mechanically fixes the rotor and then, on the basis of the rotor stop command from the pitch control device, increases the pitch angle of the blades larger than the pitch angle of the blades in a feathering state during deceleration.
