PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auto-sampler that reduces a time before the analysis of a next sample can start after the analysis of a sample is finished.SOLUTION: The auto-sampler comprises a sampling passage 14 having as movable needle 15 at the tip, and a switching valve 12, having a plurality of ports, for turning a rotor and switching the position of the rotor, thereby switching a connection between each port. The rotor of the switching valve has an injecting position for communicating a liquid sending port and a sampling port with each other and also communicating an injecting port and an analysis port with each other, a purging position for communicating the liquid sending port and the sampling port with each other and also communicating the injection port and a drain port with each other, and a loading position for communicating the liquid sending port and the analysis port with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
