PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques for computing and reporting channel quality indication (CQI).;SOLUTION: A plurality of CQI computation methods are supported, and each CQI computation method indicates how CQI should be computed. One CQI computation method is selected for use. The CQI is computed and reported in accordance with the selected CQI computation method.
