PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wasteful stagnation of a rolled stock in an inlet side of a finish rolling process and further to improve rolling efficiency of a hot rolling line, by minimizing a rolling pitch of a finishing rolling device by adding a poststage process of the finishing rolling process while preventing collision between the rolling stocks, and as a result, by optimizing timing of approach of the rolled stock into the finishing rolling device.SOLUTION: This mill pacing control device 1 includes an arithmetic processing part 4 and a control part 5. The arithmetic processing part 4 calculates a prediction preparation time of a winding-up process required for preparation of proceeding a succeeding material 25 to the winding-up process by adding a time required for a coil finishing and carrying process, and then, based on the prediction preparation time, calculates a prediction waiting time of the succeeding material 25 in an inlet side of a finishing rolling device 14. The control part 5 controls the timing of approach of the succeeding material 25 into the finishing rolling device 14 based on the prediction waiting time of the succeeding material 25.
