PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a redox flow battery system capable of suppressing a problem which occurs when an electrolytic solution is supplied to parallelly connected battery cell units.SOLUTION: A redox flow battery system comprises: a plurality of branch paths which electrically and parallelly connect a plurality of battery cell units; a switching unit which switches a conduction state of the closed loop to which each branch path is connected; a circulation mechanism including a tank for storing an electrolytic solution and a pump for circulating the electrolytic solution in the tank to each battery cell unit; a detection unit which detects a physical amount correlating with each open voltage of the battery cell units; a determination unit which determines whether a voltage difference not less than a prescribed occurs in each open voltage of the battery cell units on the basis of the physical amount detected by the detection unit; and a control unit which controls switching operation of the switching unit so that the closed loop enters a non-conduction state when the determination unit determines that the voltage difference is in a state in which it exceeds the prescribed value, and enters a conduction state when the determination unit determines that the voltage difference is in a state in which it is not more than the prescribed value.
