PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device deciding the presence/absence of the body motion of a measured person with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A sleep state management device 1 includes: a sensor 12 detecting the movement of bedding wherein a measured person lies down; and a control part 14 calculating a peak value difference that is a difference between adjacent peak values in a detection signal output from the sensor 12, deciding a period having a larger frequency at which the peak value differences exceed a threshold value than a prescribed value as a period wherein the body motion of the measured person is present, and managing a sleep state of the measured person by use of a decision result thereof.
