PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a movement handrail heating device for a passenger conveyor and a movement handrail heating method capable of improving a handrail slip ratio, while suppressing excessive heating of a movement handrail.;SOLUTION: A control unit (14) associates a handrail slip ratio acquired from a handrail slip ratio detection unit (13) with a handrail temperature acquired from a temperature detection unit (11) and writes it in a table, and then, extracts an optimum handrail temperature which is the handrail temperature corresponding to the minimum slip ratio from this table, sets the extracted optimum handrail temperature as a setting temperature of the movement handrail, and updates the setting temperature.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
