Novel immunodominant antigenic proteins and antigenic peptides associated with leptospirosis were identified using a proteome array based on the expression of the ORF of the leptospira genome. Compositions, methods and uses of such antigenic proteins and antigenic peptides in the diagnosis and staging of leptospirosis infection, and compositions of such antigenic proteins and antigenic peptides in prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines, Methods and uses are disclosed.
