PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which is usable for cyclic carbonate synthesis efficiently using carbon dioxide in exhaust gas under normal pressure.;SOLUTION: There is provided a catalyst for cyclic carbonate synthesis for producing a cyclic carbonate compound or a cyclic thiocarbonate from an epoxy compound or an episulfide compound and carbon dioxide.
