PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous solution, having a good color phase to be used as a black ink, good storage stability, in particular, suppressed in bronze lucidity and giving a stable ink.;SOLUTION: The aqueous solution contains (a) a preservative and (b) at least one of an azo compound as represented in general formula (1) or a salt thereof, wherein the amount of (b) content is 1-25 mass%.
