PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a logical ring switching method, ring node, and ring network that can change a logical ring without causing communication interruption in a relay network configured by using a ring protocol.;SOLUTION: A logical ring switching method according to the invention is a logical ring switching method in a ring network in which in a relay network constructed by a plurality of ring nodes and communication paths connecting between the ring nodes, a plurality of logical rings having the same physical shape but different blocking point positions are formed by the ring nodes and the communication paths, and a ring protocol is applied to set a logical communication path which enables communication by the logical rings. The logical ring switching method is characterized in that upon switching a logical ring, a signal received by a ring node from a logical communication path including one of the logical rings is transmitted as a signal on another logical communication path on the logical ring after it is delayed for a prescribed delay time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
