PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pretreatment cartridge capable of separating a useful substance without any damage only by changing temperature, and efficiently performing analysis operation or extraction operation after the separation, and a pretreatment method utilizing the pretreatment cartridge.;SOLUTION: A polymer whose hydration force changes within a temperature range of 0-80°C is coated on a stationary phase surface, and with contraction and swelling due to temperature change of a polymer chain, a pretreatment of a specimen is performed by utilizing a cartridge in which a stationary phase is charged, the stationary phase capable of changing affinity with a substance desired to separate from the stationary phase surface.
