PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately measuring an amount of hydrogen penetrated into metal having strain due to corrosion, in consideration of variations in residual-current on an anode side accompanied by variations in temperature in an environment.;SOLUTION: A method for measuring an amount of hydrogen penetrated into metal, includes: setting a metal material having strain as a specimen, setting one surface of the specimen as a penetration surface of hydrogen generated by a corrosive reaction due to exposure to a corrosive environment, and setting the other surface thereof as a hydrogen detection surface; measuring a hydrogen flux diffused to the detection surface as an anode current in a state of holding potential on the hydrogen detection surface side at -0.1 to +0.3 V vs SCE; disposing an electrochemical cell formed by a plurality of cell groups on the hydrogen detection surface side of the specimen; filling an electrolyte aqueous solution of pH 9-13 into each cell of the cell groups; independently placing a reference electrode and an opposite electrode; setting at least one cell of the cell groups as a reference cell for correcting a residual current detected therein; and calculating an amount of hydrogen penetrated from the corrosion surface side on the basis of an anode current value corrected by the residual current value detected in the reference cell.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
