PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the direction of eggs without using a dedicated changing mechanism, in egg alignment for aligning the direction of eggs.;SOLUTION: An egg alignment apparatus includes a roller bar conveyer equipped with a plurality of rollers arranged in a back and forth direction and a push-up mechanism for pushing the eggs upward so that their sharp edges face up, and an egg receiving part for receiving the eggs. A pair of the rollers adjacent to each other in a back and forth direction hold the eggs and convey them forward. The egg alignment apparatus conveys the eggs with sharp edges facing to the left or right toward the end of the roller bar conveyer while being held by the pair of rollers, and drops them at the end, and holds the fallen eggs with the egg receiving part. The push-up mechanism tilts the eggs so that the sharp edges face down immediately before the eggs fall. The rollers rotate in a predetermined direction near the end, to bring the tilted eggs into contact with a part of them, turn the sharp edges to the conveying direction, and drop them from the sharp edges.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
