PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for suppressing the deterioration of discriminability between a registered object and the other object in the case of adding new featured value data to the registered object.SOLUTION: An image recognition device includes: a database in which the featured value data of a plurality of objects are registered so as to be classified for each object; an identification part for identifying an unknown object; and a featured value data registration part for registering the featured value data in the database. The database is configured to set a plurality of classes for the same object. The featured value data registration part is configured to, when new featured value data are added to a first object already registered in the database, and the new featured value data and a second object satisfying a predetermined similar condition exist in the database, set a new class different from the existing class for the first object, and to register the new featured value data in the new class.
