PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate a process of inserting a workpiece with a seal ring assembled thereon into an opening member for reducing manual work, while maintaining or improving assembly quality of the seal ring.;SOLUTION: An apparatus for inserting a workpiece includes claw pressers 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d pressing a seal ring S1 inward to a groove bottom side of a mounting groove 100 formed on an outer circumferential surface of a piston P before inserting the piston P into a press fitting guide 7. The claw pressers 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d starts the pressing of the seal ring S1 from an intermediate part between both end parts 20, 30 constituting an abutment joint 10, then presses one end part 20 side to be positioned below, and performs the pressing up to the other end part 30 side to be positioned above.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
