PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visible light communication system that is able to multiplex signals while suppressing flicker of light.;SOLUTION: A visible light communication system 200 generates a first signal that is a signal representing a first bit string, that is divided by each first symbol period into portions each representing a bit, and that has a first mark rate value which is a mark rate other than 50% relative to the first symbol period; generates a second signal that is a signal representing a second bit string, that is divided by each second symbol period into portions each representing a bit, the second symbol period being a value obtained by multiplying the first symbol period by an integer equal to 2 or more, and that has a second mark rate value which is a mark rate relative to the second symbol period; and in a state in which a symbol period is synchronized, generates exclusive OR of the first signal and the second signal as a multiplex signal, and generates an optical signal by emitting light when a signal value of the generated multiplex signal has is a true value, and not emitting light when the signal value is a false value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
