PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve resolution beyond a classical diffraction limit and to reduce a background by using a statistical analysis technique on the basis of auto-and-cross-correlations/cumulants of an image stack of fluctuating objects.;SOLUTION: A time trajectory of every pixel in an image frame is correlated with itself and/or with the time trajectory of an adjacent pixel. Amplitude of auto-or-cross-correlations/cumulants of each pixel, at an optional time lag or averaged or integrated time logs about an interval of the time lags, is used as an intensity value of the pixel in a generated superresolution optical fluctuation image.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
